Flame retardant

Fire protection is an extremely important issue in many areas. Of course, this is especially true for certain occupational groups such as fire brigades and other rescue workers, whose clothing must comply with particularly strict standards and fire protection specifications. After all, the health of the wearers is at stake here. But also in the field of architecture and the event industry, compliance with certain fire protection classes is mandatory. Flame retardant yarns are used here. They ensure that, on the one hand, the flammability of the fabrics is minimised, and, on the other hand, thermal shrinkage is also reduced. However, this functionality is not only important in protective clothing. It should also be present in other textile applications, such as the area of fine tights and other textiles that lie close to the skin. Last but not least, flame-retardant properties of textiles and fabrics are also very often required in industry in order to meet certain protection classes and comply with standards.
