Fancy yarns / Bouclé

For the production of knit-de-knit yarns, also called bouclé yarns, raw white polyamides are first knitted on a knitting machine. The resulting stitch shape is then fixed by a steaming or dyeing process and then unravelled again. This knitted texture remains even after the tubes have been unravelled. Knit-de-Knit yarns are available in all colour shades and are therefore popular as fancy or fantasy yarns for striking designs in trendy knitwear. Due to their high elasticity, they also play an important role in the medical sector.
